Shindou is 20 years old and the baker of Cafe Bonheur. He often has a displeased look on his face and loses his temper easily, but he soon shows that he's actually very kind deep inside. He rarely smiles, and is quick to hit Uru or Ichirou when they're being silly, acting like a force of reason among all the madness.
He was abandoned by his mother when he was a child, and was raised by the cafe's manager. He admires him a lot, and wants to be like him; that's why he enjoys making cakes. He's very talented at it and is always worried about providing a good service for his customers.
Shindou is also really smart; he graduated from high school when he was 15. He's extremely serious and responsible, and is always taking care of Uru.
